⚡🤖 OPENAI + NVIDIA: BUILDING THE BIGGEST AI POWERHOUSE EVER — OpenAI and NVIDIA just announced a mega-partnership to create 10 gigawatts of AI supercomputers. That’s like powering 10 million homes, but instead it’ll run the world’s smartest AI. NVIDIA is backing it with a jaw-dropping $100 BILLION investment.
—> 💻 HOW BIG IS THIS? Think millions of GPUs (the special chips that make AI work). OpenAI says the first supercomputer cluster goes live in 2026, built on NVIDIA’s new “Vera Rubin” platform. Imagine ChatGPT, but way faster, way smarter, and training on data like never before.
—> 📈 WHY IT MATTERS: This isn’t just about cooler chatbots. It’s about building the “brains” that could power self-driving cars, cure diseases, and maybe even lead to superintelligence. And the ripple effect? Chip stocks across Asia and Europe spiked after the announcement — the whole market knows the AI race just leveled up.
hello, future. it’s me, kev.
…and this is a dispatch from the digital frontier. It’s time to meet the future NOW — with the latest on markets, tech, and freedom. The day is 266. The year is 2025. The planet is Earth.
The planet has complete 72.88 percent of its orbit around the Sun. My name is Kevin Cirilli —> LinkedIn. Spotify. Sign-up to receive the future in your inbox here.

SIGN OF THE TIMES, via AOL: At 88, she thought she was done with pets — then came this robot cat:
For millions of older adults, loneliness is an ongoing crisis, posing serious repercussions for mental and physical health. Spending time with cats and dogs can go a long way towards easing loneliness, but for aging adults, people with memory loss, or those living with certain disabilities, taking care of a pet might not be realistic. Enter: Robotic pets.
🌍💰 CUT THE DEFICIT, MINE THE MINI-MOON! — Forget budget battles in Washington — the real jackpot might be orbiting right above us. Scientists say Earth’s “mini-moons” could kickstart a new gold rush, with asteroids carrying metals worth trillions. The next one to swing by could be the perfect test case for space miners eager to prove this isn’t sci-fi, but the dawn of an actual industry.
—> 🌕 MINI-MOON REFRESHER: Mini-moons are small asteroids that get caught in Earth’s gravity and orbit us for weeks or months before drifting away. They’re much closer (and cheaper to reach) than asteroids in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter. That makes them ideal first targets for mining platinum, cobalt, nickel, and even gold — materials critical for phones, wind turbines, and clean energy.
—> ⛏️ HOW CLOSE ARE WE TO MINING? Not quite there yet. NASA’s past asteroid missions (OSIRIS-REx, Hayabusa2) brought back grams of material at costs in the tens of millions per gram — not exactly profitable. But companies like TransAstra are working on tech to snag mini-moons with giant space nets or solar-powered “space ovens.” If even one mini-moon is captured and mined successfully, it could change global supply chains — and maybe even help close America’s trillion-dollar debt gap.

🌌⚡ DID SCIENTISTS HEAR A WORMHOLE? — In 2019, scientists using giant space-listening machines (called LIGO and Virgo) picked up a weird signal from space. Instead of a long “whoooop” sound from black holes colliding, they heard just a quick crack. Some scientists think it was just two black holes bumping into each other. But others say it might have been something even crazier: a wormhole collapsing.
—> 🕳️ WHAT’S A BLACK HOLE? A black hole is a place in space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. It’s like a cosmic vacuum cleaner that sucks everything in. Black holes are made when giant stars die and collapse.
—> 🌈 WHAT’S A WORMHOLE? A wormhole is like a secret tunnel in space that could connect one part of the universe to another—or even to another universe. While black holes trap things forever, wormholes are like shortcuts. Scientists aren’t sure if they really exist, but they’re fun (and spooky) to imagine.
—> 🚀 WHY THIS MATTERS: If the signal really came from a wormhole, it could mean we just got our first hint of another universe. Even if it was “only” black holes, it’s proof our space-listening tools can catch amazing events billions of light-years away. The future of space science means not just looking at the stars, but hearing the universe talk.
