WHY DOESN’T THE MEDIA COVER THIS????
NASA SAYS THE ASTEROID WE WARNED YOU ABOUT JUST GOT MORE DANGEROUS. An asteroid the size of Big Ben now has a 3.1% chance of slamming into Earth on December 22, 2032—the highest probability ever recorded for a city-killing space rock. NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) are watching it closely, but even if the odds keep rising, they say Earth isn’t defenseless.
—> HOW TO STOP A CITY-KILLING ASTEROID? NASA’s DART mission proved we can smash spacecraft into asteroids to change their paths. Other ideas? Gravity tractors, nuclear detonations, ion beam deflection, and even painting one side of the asteroid to alter its solar radiation absorption. But the clock is ticking—scientists have until April 2025 to study it before it disappears from view until 2028.
—> PLACES MOST LIKELY TO GET HIT. If YR4 doesn’t miss us, NASA says its impact corridor includes Bogotá, Abidjan, Lagos, Khartoum, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Dhaka—some of the most densely populated cities in the world. If it strikes, the force could be 500 times stronger than Hiroshima, leveling everything within 30 miles.
—> SO, DO WE PANIC? Not yet—but this is the biggest extraterrestrial threat in two decades. NASA’s risk assessment could still go to zero as more data comes in. If not, the world has seven and a half years to prepare—or seven and a half years to stall while politicians argue about it.

FUTURES
S&P HITS ANOTHER RECORD—MARKETS KEEP CLIMBING TECH LEADS THE CHARGE . The S&P 500 edged up 0.3%, setting yet another record. Tech stocks carried the rally, offsetting slumps in chemical and housing sectors, where high mortgage rates are still biting. The Dow gained 0.5%, and the Nasdaq added 0.3%—just enough to keep the momentum rolling.
—> TREASURY YIELDS DIP—BUT INFLATION LINGERS . The 10-year Treasury yield slipped 0.02%, even as the Fed doubled down on inflation risks and geopolitical tensions stayed hot. Investors don’t seem fazed… yet.
FED MINUTES: FED HOLDS RATES, WATCHES TRUMP TARIFF IMPACT → The Fed kept rates steady in January, signaling they need to see more progress on inflation before cutting again. But Fed minutes from the January meeting released earlier note that Fed officials voiced concerns over Trump’s tariffs, warning they could slow inflation’s decline. With policy now less restrictive after 2024’s rate cuts, the Fed is taking a wait-and-see approach.

CRYPTO
TRUMP’S XRP POST STIRS MARKETS, BUT IS IT ALL HYPE? Trump’s Truth Social post about XRP lit up the crypto world, fueling speculation and a 26% surge in trading volume to $5.5 billion. But while the XRP crowd chanted "to the moon," the price stayed put at $2.53.
—> MARKETS MOVE ON HYPE, HEADLINES & MORE. Markets don’t move in a vacuum—news reports, tweets, and even social media posts from political figures can shift sentiment in unpredictable ways. Trump's post came as his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) set its sights on the SEC, which could be good news for Ripple as it battles the regulator.
—> XRP ETF? MAYBE. BUT NOT YET. The SEC’s recent acknowledgment of a filing for an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) has bulls buzzing. If approved, it could be a game-changer. Until then, the market is watching—and reacting—to every headline.

SPACE
🚀 SPACE TOURISM GOES MILITARY—READY FOR LIFTOFF? Think space vacations are just billionaire flexes? Think again. By 2030, commercial space tourism could be a full-blown industry—and the secret to getting there? Military tech. 🛰️🌍
🔭 WHEN CAN YOU GO? If all goes as planned, space hotels could be operational by 2030, and suborbital flights could become as common as private jet trips by 2027. Some companies, like SpaceX and Blue Origin, are already testing multi-day orbital stays.
👀 WHAT’S NEXT?… Zero-gravity luxury suites? 💫 Space tourism companies are racing to build low-orbit hotels…. Rocket rides over the Earth? 🌎 Suborbital flights could become the new Concorde… Civilian astronaut training? 🏋️♂️ High-G courses may be required before takeoff.
Big picture? This isn’t just sci-fi. The military is laying the foundation for commercial space travel. If you want to vacation in orbit, you might need to train like an astronaut first. 2030 isn’t that far away. Pack light. 🚀👨🚀

QUANTUM // ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
MICROSOFT JUST MADE A NEW STATE OF MATTER—AND IT’S POWERING QUANTUM COMPUTING. Forget everything you learned in science class. Solid, liquid, gas? Add “topological” to the list. Microsoft just announced a quantum leap (literally)—a new state of matter, built with topoconductors, that could crush today’s computing limits and bring the quantum future years sooner than expected.
—> WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? MICROSOFT BUILT A QUANTUM CHIP—AND IT’S NOT SOLID, LIQUID, OR GAS. Microsoft just unveiled Majorana 1, a quantum computing chip built on a new state of matter—not solid, not liquid, not gas. What even is that? It’s called a topological state, and it could make today’s supercomputers look like stone tablets.
—> WHY DOES THIS MATTER? Because quantum computing isn’t just hype—it’s about building tech that can change the world. Think next-level AI, new materials, unbreakable encryption, and medical breakthroughs we can’t even imagine yet. Microsoft says it won’t take decades—quantum reality is now just years away.
—> WHY DOES THIS MATTER? Quantum chips don’t just crunch numbers—they bend reality (kind of). Using qubits, which can be 1 and 0 at the same time, quantum computing could crack encryption, design new drugs, and invent materials that don’t even exist yet. Microsoft says Majorana 1 is just the start, aiming for a million qubits on a chip.
—> WHEN CAN WE USE IT? Not anytime soon. For now, it’s going to labs and universities, not your iPhone. But with Google, IBM, and even the Pentagon in the race, the quantum revolution is coming.

GEOPOLITICS
CLIMBING MOUNT TAI? CHINA WANTS YOU TO LET A ROBOT DO IT FOR YOU.. China’s latest "innovation" is strapping tourists into robotic exoskeletons to conquer Mount Tai’s 7,000-step ascent—because nothing says communist efficiency like outsourcing your own legs.
—> THE STATE-APPROVED FUTURE OF HIKING? These AI-powered exoskeletons detect movement, amplify steps, and reduce fatigue, letting climbers reach the summit without breaking a sweat. Officials pitch them as a way to boost tourism and help the elderly—but is it really about accessibility, or just another step toward total tech dependence?
—> FROM MOUNTAINS TO MANIPULATION. At $10 per climb, the robo-legs are a hit—but this isn’t just about tourism. China’s aging crisis is accelerating its push into AI-assisted mobility, industrial automation, and, inevitably, surveillance-enhanced "smart" tech.
