FUTURES
MARKETS DRIFT AS INVESTORS WAIT FOR NVIDIA. The S&P 500 slipped 0.5%, the Nasdaq fell 1.2%, and the Dow eked out a 0.1% gain as Wall Street braced for Nvidia’s earnings later this week.
—> NVIDIA WATCH: The AI chip giant dragged markets lower as investors await its profit report, which could set the tone for tech stocks.
—> BERKSHIRE UP, TREASURIES DOWN: Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway climbed on a strong operating profit surge, but signaled fewer good buying opportunities in the market. Meanwhile, Treasury yields dipped ahead of key inflation and consumer confidence reports.

CRYPTO
STATES BETTING ON BITCOIN? NOT SO FAST. Montana just rejected a proposal to invest $50 million in Bitcoin, joining North Dakota, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania in saying no to BTC reserves. But while some states are hesitant, others are pushing ahead.
—> WHO’S STILL IN? Roughly 19 state proposals are still pending, including in Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, and New Hampshire. Utah is considering allocating 5% of public funds to crypto, while Arizona's Senate Finance Committee has advanced a bill that could allow up to 10% of state money to go into Bitcoin.
—> BITCOIN IN THE U.S. TREASURY? Trump and his allies are flirting with the idea of a national Bitcoin reserve, following other countries like Switzerland, Japan, and Brazil, which are exploring crypto-backed sovereign wealth funds.
—> WHY IT MATTERS: States experimenting with Bitcoin reserves could reshape public finance, turning BTC into a government-backed asset. But volatility, regulation, and political resistance remain massive hurdles. 🚀

SPACE
HUMANS IN SPACE—WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BODY AND BRAIN? As space agencies gear up for missions to Mars and beyond, scientists are racing to understand how long-term space travel affects the human body—and the findings are alarming. 🧠🚀
—> THE BIGGEST RISKS: Astronauts face radiation exposure, muscle and bone loss, cardiovascular strain, and even cognitive decline. Microgravity causes fluid shifts, vision problems, and weakens the immune system—making basic survival a challenge.
—> PSYCHOLOGICAL STRAIN: Isolation, sleep deprivation, and mental fatigue from months (or years) in deep space could trigger anxiety, depression, and decision-making failures. Long-term missions could push the limits of human endurance.
—> EARTHLY EXPERIMENTS: Mars simulations are already happening in deserts in Israel and Utah, testing how astronauts might cope with total isolation, limited resources, and high-stress environments. Scientists hope these trials will prepare crews for the brutal conditions of deep space.
—> MEET THE FUTURE: Before we colonize Mars, we need better shielding from radiation, improved mental health support, and smarter spacecraft designs to keep humans alive. The biggest challenge? Making sure astronauts can still stand when they land. 👨🚀🔴

META’S SMART GLASSES ARE A HIT—BUT ZUCK WANTS MORE. Meta and Ray-Ban have sold 2 million pairs of their AI-powered smart glasses, blowing past expectations. But that’s just the beginning—Meta says it has the capacity to produce 10 million units, betting big that people actually want to wear AI on their faces.
—> WHAT'S NEXT: With AI-powered assistants, live-streaming, and hands-free messaging, Meta is doubling down on turning smart glasses into an everyday must-have. But will they be the next iPhone… or just another Google Glass? 👓
